Section #1
The following are the house rules for all hotel reservations at The North Branch Inn (NBI):
No gatherings and parties of any nature are allowed in guest rooms. NBI reserves the right to evict any additional occupants in the room.
This reservation is not transferable.
NBI reserves the right to send guests away from the hotel due to their conduct or for any other safety, security, medical reasons. This applies in particular, if guests do not observe instructions given by hotel employees related to hotel policies, or if guests express themselves in a discriminating manner or harass or endanger other guests or our staff.
All hotel guests must show an original proof of identity at the time arrival.
In case of conflict in the actual bill provided to you after the receipt of services, the terms of the bill will prevail.
Guests must advise hotel staff of any allergies, sensitivities or intolerance to, but not limited to: a particular fabric, material, cleaning product or food.
NBI is not responsible for damage or disappearance of vehicles kept in the parking area.
Room keys must be returned upon checkout. Unreturned keys will incur a charge of $25 per key.
NBI reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. In the event that any changes are made, the changes will be conveyed to guests via the email address used to make the reservation.
We do our best to ensure reservation arrangements are satisfactory, however, the hotel does not accept any liability for any loss financial or otherwise, travel delay, injury, damage, additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by any events which are beyond our control. These include, but not limited to, flight delays or cancellations, civil disturbance, defects in vehicles, strikes, theft, acts of terrorism, natural disaster, war, fire, floods, acts of God, acts of Government or of any other authorities, changes to Government regulations, accident to or failure of machinery or equipment, maintenance requirements or industrial action.
This list of general policies is not exhaustive of all NBI guest policies.
Section #2
The North Branch Inn is a non-smoking hotel. Smoking or vaping of tobacco or non-tobacco products of any kind is not allowed inside any building or within 20 feet of any building belonging to The North Branch Inn. Violation of this policy can result in early termination of a reservation and a $500 charge to a guest's credit card. We reserve the right to charge an individual guest's credit card for smoking activity by any member of the guest's party, including temporary visitors, regardless of whether the guest is aware of the smoking activity.
Section #3
A valid credit card must be presented on or before check-in for cases of damages. We reserve the right to charge individual guests or lead guests for the cost of fixing damage which has been caused by the deliberate, negligent or reckless acts of guests to the hotel’s property or structure. If such damage is discovered during the stay it will be drawn to the guest’s attention but if discovered after guests have departed then we reserve the right to make a charge to the guest’s credit card, or send an invoice for the costs for payment to the registered address. We will however make every effort to rectify any damage internally prior to contracting specialists to make the repairs, and therefore will make every effort to keep any costs that guests would incur to a minimum.

The North Branch Inn is not responsible for the safety and security of guests' belongings.
Section #5
Our area offers many outdoor activities such as hiking, boating, snowshoeing, sledding, etc. These activities all carry certain inherent risks, including serious bodily injury. By participating, you acknowledge that you do so at your own risk, and agree to hold Rural Status Hospitality, its subsidiaries and affiliates, and its employees harmless in the event of accident, injury, or for any other reason.
